About Us
Mikos & Matt Fine Furniture
The original owners of the classic furniture business were the late Walter Mikos, his father-in-law Hugh Matt and Hugh’s son, Bob Matt. The interest in selling furniture started with the Matt family back in Carroll, Iowa during the 1920’s. In 1953, Walter and Mary Ann Mikos became the sole owners. The current owner is second generation John Mikos, son of Walter and Mary Ann. John started in the family business in 1983 and became owner in 1998.
Customer service and quality furniture have been the focus of the business since day one. Walter Mikos built this tradition of customer service and quality, and today it lives on through John Mikos. Today we offer a wide selection of furniture and decor in our 18,000 sq ft. showroom located in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
